Audis Secured

by msecadm4921

Distributor ADI-GARDINER’s Chelmsford branch with local installer Hewes Security supplied a new Audi dealership at Rayleigh in Southend with a detection solution that matches the style of the cars and building.

GJD’s D-Tect2 was chosen to provide a secure environment for more than 60 cars featured in the Audi showroom. Spanning a two-acre site, it is the largest dealership in East Anglia. The 16 D-Tect2 detectors were specified for the exterior of the showroom because they satisfied Audi’s requirements for a system that gives them reliability with an attractive, contemporary appearance.

The D-Tect2 is a twin PIR detector that was chosen as a finalist at the 2006 IFSEC Innovations Awards. The detector is adaptable on-site, the firms add, with a programmable range from 8m to 30m, and integral masking curtains that allow its field of view to be adjusted from 10 degrees to 70 degrees.

What they say

Richard Hewes, of Hewes Security, says: "We have been buying GJD products from ADI-GARDINER for many years as they meet a wide range of requirements and are very cost-effective. We installed the D-Tect2 in the Audi showroom, and it met all of the CCTV pre-requisites of the site, including superior detection and aesthetics." AndWendy Ford, North London Regional Business Manager at ADI-GARDINER, adds: "We were delighted that we could help Southend Audi solve a unique showroom need with our GJD’s D-Tect2 products. The D-Tect range is proven to be highly successful due to its integral design, detection capabilities and sheer adaptability."
