Uniform launch

by Mark Rowe

As part of a change in the company’s image the crowd security and stewarding contractor Showsec lined up their new range of uniforms for a photo-shoot in Manchester.

The crowd management firm paraded the new look at the Etihad Stadium and Phones 4U Arena. The company says that the new uniforms represent a six-figure investment.

Seven ‘Faces of Showsec’ were selected to be models for the day to unveil the range of the uniforms which will be in place by the summer.

Director Simon Battersby said: “The growth and success of the company has been achieved in recent years by constantly looking at ways we can raise standards and making substantial investment in the development of our services and employees .
That was the prime objective of a brand refresh which has given us a more modern design and appearance of both the logo itself and the uniforms. We are delighted with the results of what has been produced and we are confident that our clients and the public will like the move to this new look.

“It is a reflection of the way the Company is moving forwards and this change comes at a time when we are preparing for another extremely busy summer. The changeover to the new uniforms will take place over the next month and we anticipate that these will all be in place by June 1.”

Two of the most significant changes will see the introduction of three-piece suits with white shirts and Showsec ties for more formal or corporate events as well as softshell jackets, while the photo-shoot also included staff in polo shirts and waterproof jackets.

The seven who took part were: Michael Holmes, Liam Fish, Ben Lofthouse, Edward Lewis, Nicola Davies, Nicole Benson and Ian deCordova.

Battersby said: “An important element of the Company’s success is our progressive and loyal workforce who not only contribute in a very positive way to the development of the business, but also influence it in many ways. Therefore, as part of our staff engagement activities, we felt it was appropriate for some of them to be chosen to feature in this launch.”

The company thanked Manchester City FC and Phones 4U Arena for use of their venues for the photo-shoot.
