by Mark Rowe

The south west based security firm Securi-Guard has appointed Robert Truesdale as Fire and Security Systems Manager.

Plymouth-born Bob – who has worked in security for the past 22 years – will oversee the technical side, in terms of the installation and maintenance teams, plus sales, in the fire and security division of the company.

He will also be responsible for client liaison and monitoring technological developments in the security industry for the Plymouth-based company.

He said: “Coming from Plymouth I was already aware of Securi-Guard’s reputation, both on a regional and national basis, and I am delighted to be part of a business which has been, and continues to be, a real success story in the industry.

“It is an opportunity to use both my technical knowledge and management experience to help further develop the fire and security division and ensure we are delivering the best possible service with the most up to date technology. I am looking forward to my new role immensely.”

Bob started in the security industry as an alarm service engineer. He’s worked in operational and sales management, and customer support.

He also has knowledge of electronic fire and security systems and project management.

Away from work, Bob enjoys cooking, keeping up with technology and is an avid rugby watcher. He also has a professional scuba diving qualification.

Scott Boyd, Securi-Guard’s Managing Director Fire and Security, said: “Bob will be a key asset in the future development of the division and his considerable expertise will help us consolidate, as well as build on, our position as a leading supplier of fire and security services across the South West, and beyond,” said Scott.
