St David’s dinner

by msecadm4921

St David’s Day is looming fast, and the security trainers and providers Blue Mountain Group have again collaborated with a group of colleagues to organise a gentlemen’s dinner to celebrate this special Welsh day.  The St. David’s Day Charity Dinner will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 at The Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli at 7pm.  The organisers hope to have contributions from the world of Rugby, the SAS/SBS, the hugely popular Male Voice Choir and the hilarious comedian, Phil Doyle.

Blue Mountain MD Nigel Thomas says:

We will also have the Queens Piper to start us off.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for the evening and to ask if you would consider supporting the event by hosting a table of 10, or perhaps you would prefer to attend with a colleague or a friend.

The monies raised in 2011 have been divided between two local Multiple Sclerosis Centres. The beneficiaries are the HOPE Centre in Neyland which is an oxygen therapy centre designed to facilitate those with multiple sclerosis www.pembrokeshire-hope.org.uk and the MS Society Cardigan Branch, who also have an oxygen therapy unit www.msoxygen.org.uk

The other beneficiaries are The Ray Gravell and Friends Charitable Trust. Sadly, Ray, who played Rugby for Llanelli, Wales and the British Lions, passed away in 2007. Ray was truly an inspiration to everyone around him and we are delighted to be able to raise funds to support the Charity in any way that we can. Ray was instrumental in the setting up of this event and without his input we would not be here today celebrating the Tenth anniversary.

We will be holding an auction and raffle at the dinner and we would be very grateful if you would consider donating an item from your own environment. We also welcome donations. To date, we have raised in excess of £277,000 for good causes.

Tickets are £30 per person which includes a three course dinner.  Tickets can be obtained from Zoe or Catrin – on 01267 241907, by post at Brodle Farm, Llangain, Carmarthen, SA33 5AN or e-mail [email protected] Places are limited and are available on a first come first served basis. All ticket requests should be made before 11th February 2011.  The dress code for the evening will be jacket and tie, with of course, a daffodil as a prerequisite.
