Security Technology Live latest

by Mark Rowe

Latest from the show Security Technology Live, due to run from May 13 to 15, 2014, at the NEC, Birmingham, while IFSEC shifts to ExCeL in London for June 2014.

As many security manufacturers and distributors continue to plan their marketing budgets for 2014, Clarion Events announced further support for the launch of Security Technology Live.

After meetings both during and after IFSEC, the Security Technology Live team reports a real increase in the number of incoming enquiries as security manufacturers and distributors start to plan how they’ll reach the security channel in 2014.

Kay Ryan from Navtech Radar, who recently signed up to exhibit at Security Technology Live, said: “We have chosen Security Technology Live 2014 as an important once a year opportunity to showcase our range of intelligent radar security solutions in a central UK location at the NEC, Birmingham.”

Ryan Bamford from Traders said: “We’re exhibiting at Security Technology Live as we prefer the emphasis on getting security installers with genuine interest in purchasing to attend the show.”

Clarion Events stress that 86 per cent of BSIA members and 81pc of UK installers are within a three-hour drive time of the NEC. A new pricing model has also been introduced to reflect the commoditised security market with rates from £250 per sqm.

Ian Campbell of BC Technology was the first to sign when Security Technology Live was launched in February. He said: “BC Technology is proud to be the first exhibitor to sign up for Security Technology Live 2014. We look forward to meeting existing and future customers at this installer focused show”

Tim Porter, Managing Director of Clarion Events, said: “Whilst we appreciate there is a great deal of change with IFSEC moving to London in summer 2014, we’ve been very happy to informally discuss plans for both Security Technology Live and Counter Terror Expo so companies can make informed decisions on where to spend their marketing budgets in 2014.”

Porter added: “Any decision maker or influencer is welcome to give me or the team a call, or drop us an email, and we’ll be happy to answer all your questions to help you plan your marketing spend and drive new business in 2014.”

Clarion Events announced Monika Luis has re-joined, as Business Development Manager working alongside Rob Lozowski on Security Technology Live. Companies interested in exhibiting, or finding out more information about Security Technology Live, should ring Monika on Tel: 020 7384 7875 or email [email protected]

Notes

Security Technology Live’s “Founding 50” special rate has been fully sold out but stand spaces remain with rates from £250 per sqm. Clarion organises more than 200 events (a mixture of exhibitions, conferences and seated events) annually.
