Murder trial

by Mark Rowe

The Old Court Theatre will re-enact the trial of Samuel Dougal who was arrested for the murder of Camille Holland from Clavering in 1903.

They have created a script from the original Moat Farm Murder trial and will give the audience the chance to play the jury. The event will be held at Essex Police Museum at Essex Police Headquarters in Springfield, Chelmsford between 7.30pm and 9pm on Thursday, July 4, 2013.

Curator Becky Wash says, “We are very excited to work with The Old Court Theatre again. They bring the murder case to life and make you feel like you were actually there, in court, witnessing this famous case. It is definitely not to be missed.”

Tickets cost £3 per person and include light refreshments. Booking is essential.
