Immigration advisory service

by Mark Rowe

The employment screening and vetting company The Security Watchdog has launched a corporate immigration advisory service through its Advisory Bureau arm.

The new service will provide UK immigration support and advice to those wishing to employ people from outside the European Union and EEA. This is the firm says relevant for international company transfers and supporting the need for businesses to look outside of the EU for specialist skilled workers.

Security Watchdog’s Level 3 registered OISC immigration consultants work on visa applications, the process around sponsoring individuals and providing assistance to those looking to obtain a sponsor licence.

The Watchdog says that with continued tightening of UK immigration rules and repeated changes, businesses must ensure that they are complying with the various regulations. This means the correct preparatory work for the employment of migrant workers, compliance on migrant workers and Home Office sponsorship licences, and record keeping.

For example, in June 60 universities, further and higher education colleges, and independent schools were either stripped or faced losing their right to sponsor overseas students after being found non-compliant with the law.

Peju Ojemuyiwa, The Advisory Bureau’s senior immigration consultant says: “UK immigration is dynamic and ever-changing. Organisations at the top of their sponsor responsibilities must be constantly up-to-date with the UK immigration law and updating their processes accordingly. At Security Watchdog, we are risk averse and ensure we work with our clients to identify where these potentials risks are and together we create solutions that are dynamic and lasting to mitigate and remove such risks permanently.”
