Business awards

by Mark Rowe

The recruitment firm Eligo Recruitment was named as the Best Business in SW19, and Best Enterprising Business at this year’s Merton Best Business Awards. The company also was finalist in a further two categories.

Eligo Fire & Security specialise in recruitment for manufacturers, installers, and end users across the UK. They are regular attendees and exhibitors to industry events such as Professional Security magazine’s ST series, with their bright pink stand.

On a night showcasing Merton’s business, Diana Sterck, CEO of the Merton Chamber of Commerce, said: “SW19 is a globally recognised brand, making this a prestigious title for any winner.” Eligo’s awarded as Best Enterprising Business was presented by event sponsors Close Brothers.

Eligo says that its Fire & Security division has made a significant contribution to the company’s overall success and growth. The awards come in recognition of the division leading the way in embracing new enterprising products and services. One example is Eligo IQ. That’s an online, multi-media platform, offering an intergrated process for clients featuring video engagement, behavioural assessment and key competency profilings, accessible to key stakeholders, 24-7. Eligo Fire & Security now have more than six key clients working on a retained basis using the Eligo IQ service.

The Fire & Security team has further grown from one to seven consultants and recently launched into the contracting market. Division director John Guest said: “Since entering the fire and security market five years ago, we have placed in excess of 600 people in permanent positions, worked with more than 100 businesses, and have become the go-to source for market advice and information, we’re particularly proud of the recognition these awards have brought and will continue to build upon these successes in delivering the best possible service to the fire and security industry.”

He thanked the Merton Chamber of Commerce for putting on the event, Love Wimbledon for their support, and our staff, clients, and candidates, “who continually make us the business we are today. We’d also like to extend our congratulations to all the other winners of awards, Merton truly is a great place for business”.
