Interviews

BSIA at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) – the trade body for the UK’s private security industry, will be there at this year’s IFSEC International show in London’s ExCel on June 17 to 19.

On the first day, Tuesday, June 17, on stand D1500, the BSIA is hosting a drinks reception at 3pm to mark the 20th anniversary of the association’s dedicated Export Council.

On Wednesday, June 18, BSIA members and security companies interested in finding out more about the benefits of BSIA membership are invited to attend an informal luncheon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The event aims to provide a relaxed atmosphere in which industry practitioners can exchange views and catch up with BSIA personnel. And on Thursday, June 19, a free workshop will be given by members of the Export Council on how best to target overseas markets. The workshop will be held from 1pm to 2pm on the IFSEC Centre Stage.

James Kelly, pictured, Chief Executive of the BSIA, says: “Enabling the sharing of best practice between industry professionals is a key function of the Association, and IFSEC provides an annual opportunity for the wider industry to reflect on the successes of the past year and exchange ideas about the future direction of our dynamic industry.”

A full event listing, including all of the BSIA’s activity at the show with links to online registration forms for all association events, can be downloaded from the BSIA’s website.
