Salary: Circa £41,500 per annum
Location: Based at Headquarters, Oxfordshire

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police force, keeping the nation safe from harm by securing the integrity of civil nuclear material.

The CNC’s primary function is the protection of licenced nuclear sites not used wholly or mainly for defence purposes and the safeguarding of nuclear material in the UK and elsewhere.

The unique nature of its role, combined with its focus on countering threats from terrorists, clearly differentiates the CNC from Home Office/Scottish Police Service.

We wish to recruit a suitable candidate to undertake the duties of Security Manager. This is a critical and influential post within our organisation and one which requires an excellent knowledge of Protective Security; Personnel, Physical, Information, IT and Security Education. The role holder will have exceptional leadership and managerial qualities.

You will lead, manage and co-ordinate the security department activities and resources both based at HQ and UK wide to ensure organisational compliance with both internal and external security policy standards and expectations. You must also be experienced and capable of dealing on a regular basis with senior management and staff of all levels and proficient on carrying out security inspections of our external delivery partners and third party suppliers.

You must be able to demonstrate an ability to work flexibly within the range of your own competences and you must have undertaken appropriate development to extend your skills and abilities to meet the needs of the business.
