World IoT Congress

by Mark Rowe

The CSCIS World IoT Congress is running in Cardiff, on October 8. This is a second World IoT congress, following an event last year in Singapore. In Singapore the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + International Studies (CSCIS) gathered Taiwanese designers for IoT devices being produced in China and worked on the beginnings of an Internet Standard for IoT security by design.

Speakers invited to Wales include Chief Scientist for McAfee Raj Samani, pictured; Welsh Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport Lee Waters, Director of Security Concepts Peter Davies, and Aloysius Cheang, CSCIS director for Asia-Pacific who is working on security by design for IoT.

Organisers say that Wales is emerging as a key hub for cyber-security, and its close proximity to other countries in the UK means we expect to attract 150 high-quality delegates, from C-suite executives to government executives and CIOs. The event is at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff, the perfect setting for networking with peers working in IoT.

Early-bird registrations are £156 and run until August 30.
