SICUREZZA 2019

by Mark Rowe

SICUREZZA, the Milan security and fire exhibition, and Smart Building Expo, the trade fair for technological integration, held in Fiera Milano from Wednesday to Friday, November 13 to 15, closed with 28,629 visitors.

Numbers were up 12 per cent on the previous edition of the show, with international attendance from 88 countries. The ten most represented countries were Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Spain, Tunisia, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Croatia. The organisers say that proves how SICUREZZA is now recognised as a reference hub for professionals from all over Europe and the Mediterranean area.

The 619 exhibitors were a rise of 33pc compared to the last edition, 30pc of them from 37 foreign countries. Some of the topics over the three days of the exhibition, organisers say, included integration, digitalisation, and smart solutions; in security, biometrics, artificial intelligence, voice recognition and IoT. As for building automation, audio-video systems, energy, digital platforms and telecommunications already are at work, using big data. New for 2019 was a Cyber Arena. The event hosted more than 100 training workshops and similar events.
