The annual Security & Fire Excellence Awards (SEA) are due to run in London at Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday, November 23. If this is not possible to do safely due to the covid pandemic, then as in 2020 they will run virtually. Now in their 22nd year, the awards highlight the best people, projects and processes that the security and fire sectors have to offer. For 2021, the organisers have reviewed the categories and made a number of additions and changes, to make the event more company, people, team and project focussed.
A new category is S&FEA Champion of Champions. This will be open for entries from all previous winners since the inaugural event 21 years ago. If you’ve picked up a trophy as a winner in any category over the previous 21 events, you will be eligible to enter to see if you will be judged to be the best of the best.
In 2019, pictured, host for the black tie evening was Tess Daly; previous hosts have included Jimmy Nesbitt, Gabby Logan, Jimmy Carr and the late Ronnie Corbett. Virtual host last November was TV man Stephen Mulhern.
