Retail speakers

With just over three weeks to go, the ninth Retail Fraud Conference has announced new speakers and a new conference stream to its programme.  Running on April 19 at the Novotel in west London, the event will be opened by the Minister for Crime Prevention, Lord Henley. Then will come the launch of the findings from the second Retail Fraud Survey, proving an understanding of the fraud and loss prevention strategies of UK leading retailers, from Brian Hume, MD of Martec International.

New speakers include: Simon Collins, VP of Praesidium; Orlanda de Sousa, Head of Audit and Process Management, Sonae; Ricky Smith, Head of Security, Chanel; Alex Moore, Head of Engagement, National Fraud Authority;  and Chief Executive of the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, Paul Baxter.

They will join speakers including:  Syed Raza, Director of Loss Prevention, Sears; Ady Houton, Head of Loss Prevention, Iceland; ACC Paul Broadbent, Nottingham Police and ACPO Lead of Business Crime; Pierre Jourda de Vaux de Chabonelle, Direction of Flux Marchandises, Printemps; Detective Superintendent Alaric Bonthron, Olympic and Paralympic Policing Co-ordination Team and Tony Sales, reformed fraudster.

The new conference stream entitled Loss Prevention Strategy will focus on advice, opinions and best practice with speakers including Steve Frame, Head of Loss Prevention, River Island and Ian Crawley, Head of Marketplace Risk, eBay Europe.  Two other streams will focus  on technology solutions and online fraud. Running alongside the conference programme will be an exhibition showcasing companies including WEDO Technologies, OnCam, Tellermate, Transactis, Cardinal Group, WorldPay, Datacash, B2B and Box Technologies.
