Vertical Markets

Multi-pocket sorter

by Mark Rowe

Cummins Allison, a coin, cheque and currency handling product firm, has introduced the JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket sorter for the British market. Configurable from three to nine pockets in the same compact space, the JetScan iFX i400 offers high-speed currency sorting, the firm says.

The JetScan iFX i400 uses imaging technology that provides read rates while processing currency at up to 1,000 notes per minute.

From a base unit of three pockets, more two-pocket modules can be added to create five-pocket, seven-pocket or nine-pocket systems, now or expandable. The design can create up to nine pockets in a space-saving vertical configuration, effectively providing a high-volume, multi-pocket sorter in a footprint barely larger than a desktop sorter.

Andrew Crowson, UK managing director at Cummins Allison, says: “This really opens up the possibilities where space is a premium in any number of applications. Security company cash centres can accurately count and sort large or many small deposits. Casinos can reconcile drops in the count room quickly. Even those who might process moderate amounts of cash such as retailers, Car Park operators and local councils can gain high-speed productivity in a small space at an affordable price.”

User-customisable operating software can accommodate workflows or different processing operations. Operating modes or pocket configurations can be changed with the touch of a button using an intuitive, touch-screen display.

“Training is simplified, navigation is easy, and daily operations are effortless,” said Crowson. “Making it easy for the operators means better productivity.”

The JetScan iFX i400 is part of a family of JetScan iFX products.
