Apprenticeship Hub at NSI Summit

by Mark Rowe

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has announced new feature areas for the 2019 NSI Summit on Thursday, March 21, at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham. The exhibition area will have an Exhibitor Presentation Zone and an Apprenticeship Hub.

The Exhibitor Presentation Zone will be a series of quick-fire product or service demonstrations in an in-hall seminar area. This will be a chance for delegates to hear about new products and services in a presentation setting.

The Apprenticeship Hub, sponsored by CSL, Pyronix and Texecom, will feature UK further education colleges that offer security and fire safety apprenticeships. Delegates will be able to discuss their own requirements with course representatives and learn more about the mechanics of how the apprenticeship scheme works.

Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive said: “This latest announcement is another step to making this year’s Summit the most enriching yet for delegates, exhibitors and sponsors. Our curated expert seminar programme includes a session on best practice working between a college and security systems installer. We hope this is an enlightening session for any approved company contemplating different approaches to managing skills gaps within their organisation. With dedicated content streams on fire safety, guarding/security services and electronic security we look forward to welcoming all delegates and exhibitors whatever their areas of expertise and interest.”
