The Cube contract

by Mark Rowe

After a competitive tender, the contractor Incentive Lynx has been awarded a contract worth over £1.5m to provide services at The Cube. A team of 17 will operate 24/7 at the mixed-use development in the centre of Birmingham. The 25 storey building in B1, pictured, has 135 flats, 111,500 square feet of offices, restaurants, a hotel and a skyline bar/restaurant. Under the terms of the three-year contract Incentive Lynx, part of Incentive FM Group, will be providing manned guarding, residential concierge services and reception cover.

Doug Wattleworth, Senior Facilities Manager at The Cube, said: “Providing a safe and smooth-running building for our customers is extremely important and so we have chosen our partner carefully. Incentive Lynx showed a real understanding of our needs and their approach to the ongoing development of their people was a good cultural match with us.”

Stephen Waud, Managing Director at Incentive Lynx, said: “This is our first contract in Birmingham and reflects our ability to operate high quality operations and provide a range of related services. We are proud to add this prestigious building to our growing portfolio.”
