T in the Park contract

The crowd management and security contract company Showsec have a three-year contract with DF Concerts to provide their services at T in the Park. The agreement means Showsec now operate at major festivals covering the United Kingdom from the Isle of Wight up to Kinross in Scotland. T in the Park has long been established as Scotland’s biggest music festival and indeed saw its 20th anniversary in the summer of 2013. A three-day event in recent years, it regularly attracts 85,000 music lovers each day. In July 2014 recent the named headlining acts are Arctic Monkeys, Pharrell Williams and Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding and Bastille.

Showsec Director Mark Logan said: “This is fantastic news which strengthens our position in the market because T in the Park has earned iconic status and become widely recognised as one of Europe’s largest festival-style events. The company’s commitment to setting the highest standards in the delivery of its services in the festival market has earned this opportunity. We now cover the United Kingdom from Bestival on the Isle of Wight to T in the Park north of the border with Wireless Festival, Download Festival, V Festival, Creamfields and Parklife the stepping stones along the way.

Showsec have welcomed the opportunity to work with Scottish promoter DF Concerts on this exciting new contract at T in the Park.
