ST16 dates, venues

by Mark Rowe

The Professional Security ST series of conference-exhibitions, in their fourth year in 2016, are going international. Here are the dates and venues:

ST16 Midlands – February 4, Nottingham
ST16 Ireland – April 6, Dublin
ST16 North – July 5, Manchester
ST16 London – November 2, Heathrow.

We’re still running four events in the year, and Nottingham still starts the year, but instead of Bristol we’re setting sail across the Bristol Channel (not literally!?) for the Republic of Ireland. We’re heading back to Manchester for the summer, and rounding off the year in London again.

The format is the same, as it’s proved popular with visitors and exhibitors around the country. We start with an informal, no-jacket-required sit-down dinner the night before, then the exhibition in the morning, usually of around 60 stands, which visitors have told us they like – enough to get a good feel for the products and services out there, to keep them up to date with security technology, but not so many as at the giant expos that they can’t navigate.

A conference runs until a late (free, buffet) lunch. Each time we try to put together a varied programme, whether of speakers from industry bodies, end users, installers, or people from outside the security industry with things interesting to say. Whether you’re an installer, security manager, or consultant or specifier, or someone who wants to keep up to date with the sector, we hope there’s something for you in the ST16 day to make it worth your while.

If you’re an installer or otherwise too busy to give up half your day, call first thing – have a bacon butty on us from 8.45pm, and do the rounds before the conference starts, even, at 9.30am.
