Mitie Group plc, the security and other services outsourcing company, has acquired Procius Limited, a UK pre-employment screening company, from the management team.
Procius’ is a specialist in pre-employment screening and vetting, particularly in the aviation and transportation sectors. This acquisition will according to Mitie provide its Total Security Management business with more niche capability and support its growth as a provider of pre-employment screening, competency management and criminal records checking services.
The combined business has over 3000 customers across all sectors. The acquisition will add an operational hub in Basingstoke to Mitie’s PeopleCert and UKCRBs businesses at Mitec (Mitie’s technology hub at Craigavon in Northern Ireland).
