Kings Security Systems – www.kingsltd.co.uk – is sponsorsing the Great Britain Police Rugby League team at the forthcoming Festival of World Cups – www.rlfowc2013.com. The tournament will see separate competitions being run for Police, Student, Wheelchair, Women and Armed Forces teams.

The year 2013 sees the Rugby League World Cup in England and Wales. The Police Rugby League team will face police teams from Australia and world champions Fiji. The police team is being endorsed by Mark Burns-Williamson, Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire.

Anthony King, managing director of Kings said: “Kings is celebrating the wonderful game of Rugby League through this sponsorship deal. We are delighted to support and honour our national Police Rugby League team and wish them every success in this tournament. As a security company, we work closely with local policing teams all the time, so this latest affiliation is testament to our commitment to our police force. The Police Rugby League team will take pride of place on an international stage, yet make a positive impact on, and engage with, the local communities of West Yorkshire.”

Former Bradford Bulls forward and British Police Team Manager Jon Hamer comments: “We are delighted to have Kings Security Systems as our principal sponsor and applaud their continued commitment in working closely with The Police Service to create safer communities. Our team will bring many elements of their policing skills to the international rugby field playing with pride, passion, discipline, structure and bravery against the best teams in the world.”

The coaching has been led by former Bradford Bulls men Mark Robinson and Jon Hamer, who have been preparing for the World Cup which has included warm up games against the Royal Air Force and the British Army.

The Police Rugby League World Cup fixtures include:

– Great Britain v Australia – 5 July – Tetley’s Stadium, Dewsbury

– Australia v Fiji – 8 July – Bigfella’s Stadium, Featherstone

– Fiji v Great Britain – 11 July – Provident Stadium, Bradford

– Police Rugby League World Cup Final – 14 July: Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds
