Sunday, April 1 saw  Ascot Racecourse stage its annual Countryside Race Day, a family-friendly event which combines horse racing with a wide range of other activities. AP Security sponsored four of the day’s races, reinforcing the relationship that the company enjoys with the course’s management.

AP sponsored two Class 2 races – the AP Security Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Race and the AP Security Veterans Handicap Steeplechase – along with two Class 3 races, the AP Security Novices Steeplechase and the AP Security Handicap Steeple Chase.

The day featured attractions such as an Easter egg hunt, family farm, target rifle range, climbing tower, quad bikes, crazy golf, a country market and silent auction, as well as animal-themed attractions like displays of llamas, falconry and terrier racing – all designed to bring the widest possible range of people and age ranges to Ascot for a fun day out.

“We have an excellent relationship with Ascot Racecourse and we were happy to reinforce that by sponsoring four races at the Countryside Race Day,” says AP national sales manager John Phillips. “It was a very successful day for all involved and an unusual way, for us, of raising AP’s profile. We hope to be able to sponsor further races.”
