Property control

New Ludgate, a multi-use property in London EC4, near St Paul’s Cathedral, has selected the C.CURE 9000 Enterprise security and event management product for its new IP-based, integrated video, video intercom and access control. The C.CURE 9000 unites several building systems with physical security, for managing the 355,000 square feet of office space and 26,800 square feet of restaurant and retail.

The installers were Universal Security Systems. The owner, commercial property company Land Securities, sought to manage multiple security and building management systems from a single, intuitive user interface. New Ludgate’s security operators can now monitor events in real time, manage personnel, create reports, display views, and monitor system activity using a desktop computer, web client or the C.CURE Go mobile app.

Lee Pegram, Land Securities Engineering Director, said: “New Ludgate required a near seamless integration between the buildings’ lifts systems, video intercom, access control and video surveillance system, and the new solution also needed to run on the buildings common network without impacting other network communications. The C.CURE 9000 security and event management platform ticks off all the items on our wish list, giving us the united, tightly integrated video, access control and building management capabilities we were searching for.”

The product as used by New Ludgate includes a visitor management web portal option so that visitor management may be added, and conditional access for areas needing supervised entry and occupancy. The security system also was fitted on a virtual local area network.
