M&E for restaurant

by Mark Rowe

Cordant Projects, part of Cordant Services, reports work on a flagship restaurant within a new retail development in Hale Barns, Cheshire. The company provided mechanical and electrical (M&E) services and fabric works during the £1m fit out of FOX, the first new outlet launched by FOX Restaurant Group Ltd.

As principal contractor during the construction, Cordant Projects did the installation of the lighting, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing systems, as well as the safety alarms. As part of the fabric works, the company fitted the internal aesthetics, including new flooring, decorative finishes and partition walls. Cordant also installed the “back of house” area with a kitchen, cellar, staff room, toilets and office space. The nine-week project was completed to time and to budget.

Danny Fox, Founder of Fox Restaurant Group Ltd, said: “The design we put together for the restaurant was clean and sharp, and we are extremely pleased with the finished article. Despite being on a short timeframe, Cordant Project’s expertise and extensive experience ensured everything went exactly to plan. We were impressed by the company’s attention to detail and its determination to deliver the very best results.”

And Ian Woods, Managing Director of Cordant Projects, said: “We are very proud to have played a crucial part in this exciting project. The end result is a fantastic high-quality restaurant that has created over 50 jobs in the growing Hales Barns area. We will further support FOX Restaurant Group Ltd in Hale Barns and we hope to work with the team again in the near future as the business expands into a hugely successful chain.”
