IT security consultancy

by Mark Rowe

The GEO Group UK Ltd (GEO) has chosen an IT security consultancy to provide a Managed Services Framework. Auriga Consulting Ltd will provide all IT, Business Process and IT security services for the custody provider, for governance over its internal and external infrastructure. Auriga has been a long-term partner of GEO, ensuring the organisation complies with regulatory requirements governing data management in its sector. The formal appointment of Auriga extends this, with Auriga assuming responsibility for all IT security projects embedding them into business process.

GEO has managed Immigration Removal Centres across the UK for more than eight years. Auriga began providing GEO with outsourced security services in 2012 based upon the team’s experience in carrying out compliance projects on behalf of organisations such as the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice.

GEO’s CEO, Phil Watkins, says: “Auriga have demonstrated their commitment as a trusted outsource service provider of ICT, Data, Business Process and Security and I am delighted to enter into this formal arrangement which will ensure we have the right infrastructure to deliver the ICT solutions we and our customers require appropriately and proportionately. Auriga’s innovative approach to security combined with an impressive depth and breadth of knowledge will continue to help us implement blended technical and data solutions seamlessly.”

And Louise T Dunne, Managing Director, Auriga, says: “The formal appointment of Auriga to provide a Managed Services Framework is indicative of how seriously and diligently GEO Group UK takes its responsibilities. GEO has multiple business sites and must observe and comply with strict regulatory frameworks for the management and protection of data. Meeting those requirements presents a real challenge in some cases but using our Managed Services Framework immediately places the knowledge and experience of our information assurance and business process specialists at their disposal. GEO will receive unparalleled support in all ICT and security projects as we manage their ICT and Security needs ensuring they select the right solutions through the right providers.”
