Heritage Watch is a partnership between owners of historical sites, those with an interest in the preservation of local history and police. The aim; to share information about and prevent crimes against sites of historical interest, such as theft of artefacts or lead from church roofs; or unauthorised building work on listed buildings.

The Watch group will look to exchange information and put in practice crime prevention advice to prevent heritage crime.

If interested in becoming part of Heritage Watch contact Essex Police via www.essex.police.uk/advice/essex-watch/heritage-watch/ or sign up to the county’s Electronic Community Messaging (ECM) at www.essexcommunitymessaging.org.
