The control room furniture manufacturer Winsted EMEA has gained ISO14001:2004 certification. The company says this shows its environmental responsibility and builds on the company’s ISO 9001 quality management system standard certification.

Winsted has gained independent verification of its efforts to both minimise any harmful effects on the environment caused by its manufacturing and achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance.

General Manager Terry Shough says: “Winsted is a forward thinking company, adapting to a changing world. Gaining ISO 14001 is the best way of proving the company’s green credentials. We are proud to be among the first in our industry to achieve this standard, which we feel confident will deliver universal rewards, because less waste and a more efficient operation results in higher quality and improved service for our customers.  With the introduction of a documented system we are able to satisfy the high standards of ISO and show the industry that we are an environmentally responsible organisation. Good environmental practice also makes good business sense because it enhances efficiency and inspires customer confidence.”

“As a company operating with customers and partners internationally, we are committed to meeting strict environmental regulations and customer requests regarding the environmental impact of our business operations.”
