The audit firm PwC has joined the Cyber Risk & Insurance Forum (CRIF). Created almost two years ago to raise industry awareness of the cyber threat and associated business risks, it seeks to help purchasers of insurance tmanage residual risk. It is made up of commercial and non-commercial organisations.

Richard Horne, PwC cyber insurance partner said: “As awareness of cyber security as an enterprise risk grows across the UK economy, more companies are considering the potential benefits of cyber insurance. By supporting the work of the CRIF we hope to increase the level of discussion in this area between the insurance industry and key stakeholders such as government and small and medium enterprises. This will ultimately help to build trust in the UK’s digital economy.”
