Door entry panels

by Mark Rowe

One Tower Bridge is a Berkeley Homes riverside development, next to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The door-entry panels for this high-end residential project came from Urmet.

Berkeley Homes needed a full-IP solution for this development that was aesthetically pleasing and also reflected the needs and requirements of the highly discerning individuals who will take up residency. The developers chose 52 Power over Ethernet (PoE) Elekta glass panels for all of the entrances at the eight blocks within the development, which totals 350 apartments.

The buildings have a 24-hour concierge and security managed by Harrods Estates. The eight residential blocks are interlinked to provide single-platform control for all access and security-related requirements. Urmet’s Sales Director, Mark Hagger, said: “The Elekta Glass panel has certainly captured the imagination of developers. We’re very pleased with how we deliver our IP network solutions to the high-end, high-volume residential sector. We know what our customers need, which pushes our development of the IPervoice system further, ensuring we lead the market.”
