A Wolverhampton-based fencing company won two awards at the Counter Terror Expo show, at London Olympia, pictured. The Rapid Deployable System (RDS) by Zaun won best physical security product and the category ‘best security partnership to protect crowded places’ for work with the National Barrier Asset.
The next Counter Terror Expo runs at the same venue from April 30 to May 1 2014.
Other winners in the Counter Terror Expo Excellence Awards announced at a lunch on day one of the show were: for Buildings and Facilities Protection, the Dor-O-Matic Automatic Bomb Blast Entrance Solutions by Ingersoll Rand; CBRNE detection and protection, Fast Track Fibre (FTF) Gamma Portal by James Fisher Nuclear; counter-IED deployment, OPTIMA Defence and Security; in cyber-security, Cellcrypt Conferencing by Cellcrypt; in emergency response initiative, Integrated Rapid Deploy Security solution (IRDSS) by Becatech Systems; integrated security initiative to protect large sensitive sites, UK prison mobile phone detection by Alban Consultants; personal protection – clothing, equipment, vehicles or body guard – Recon Scout and Throwbot tactical micro-robot systems by Reconrobotics; screening, scanning and detection, Broughton Control Series High Security Whole Body Scanner; and for surveillance, data and intelligence, Marlborough Communications.
