Vemotion at ST18 Heathrow

by Mark Rowe

Vemotion, the UK manufacturer of live video streaming, is among the companies exhibiting at the Security TWENTY 18 Conference and Exhibition, at the Park Inn Heathrow, on Wednesday, November 7. It’s the final ST event of the year, before the cycle begins again in the Midlands in February.

At the London show which traditionally closes the ST year, Vemotion will be demonstrating how, as the demand for real-time, high-performance wireless video streaming grows, the company can supply all the ingredients needed to create deployable CCTV. Encompassing low latency, high-quality video with low monthly airtime costs, Vemotion says its products deliver the balance of quality, performance and price.

Vemotion will be introducing the new BodyCam, pictured. Weighing-in at 210g, the VB-BC BodyCam delivers live video streaming from operatives – using the company’s low bitrate real-time video. The company will also be demonstrating their new PoleCam Mini. Featuring the firm’s low bandwidth streaming, the latest Rapid Deployment Camera (RDC) weighs just 3.5kg. Thanks to its low data usage that doesn’t the makers say compromise on video quality, PoleCam Mini is also cost effective to run, the product company adds.

The exhibition part opens at 8.30am and finishes before 4pm. It’s free to attend, whether you’re an installer, end user or consultant or specifier; organisers Professional Security Magazine ask that you register beforehand, just to help gauge the numbers for catering. The event includes bacon butties for early arrivers; mid-morning tea and biscuits; and a hot buffet lunch.

Speakers at the conference running from 10am until lunch include the cyber security awareness trainer and consultant Mike Gillespie of Advent IM; Surveillance Camera Commissioner Tony Porter; Dave Humphries of the industry regulator the Security Industry Authority; and Rachel Griffin of the lone worker safety awareness charity the Suzy Lamplugh Trust; proceeds from the networking dinner the night before will go to the Trust. Between speakers, manufacturers Hikvision, Seagate and Hanwha Techwin and distributor Anixter will give product updates.
