ST22 Cardiff new ground

by Mark Rowe

The Security TWENTY series of exhibitions by Professional Security Magazine broke new ground yesterday, when ST22 Cardiff ran at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in the Welsh capital, ST’s first time in Wales.

At the accompanying conference upstairs, regular chairman Mike White made another first by greeting delegates in Welsh. Besides the manufacturer and distributor exhibitors, there were industry associations and the Security Industry Authority, whose Paul Cartlidge was the opening speaker at the conference, who went through what the sector could expect from the SIA’s evolving engagement with businesses. He also suggested that the SIA’s approved contractor scheme could see a revamp, speaking of an ‘ACS 2.0’.

The next stop for ST is on July 12, at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, in downtown Manchester, over the road from Oxford Road rail station. Pictured: Cardiff University.

About ST

Each event opens around 8.30am and has on offer bacon butties for the early arrivals, besides tea and coffee. ST is free to visit, whatever your interest in the private security industry, whether as a manager, installer, consultant or specifier, or you are just someone who wants to see what’s what. And you can stay as long or as short as you like. We only ask that you register beforehand, either by emailing Liz Lloyd – [email protected] – or through the website. It helps us to gauge the numbers beforehand so we can tell the venue caterers accordingly.
