October 2018 print magazine

by Mark Rowe

Could it be, no matter how hard and well you work on security, in a bank, or warehouse or factory, the bulk of non-security staff that you rely on are wary of or downright dislike you, because they have had a bad experience of security when they’ve gone to the airport to start their holiday? If airport security is so stressful that it gives the sector a bad name, is there any way out?

That’s what the October 2018 print issue of Professional Security magazine asks. You can read it and recent past issues online on the ‘magazine‘ section of the website.

As ever we try to cover as many sides and sectors of UK and Ireland private security as we can; we also feature campus security as a new academic year begins; stadium security; and local government public space monitoring. We continue our look at business crime reduction partnerships around the country by featuring Chris Caesar in Portsmouth.

Plus the weapons and safety awareness trainer Steve Collins; and Professional Security MD Roy Cooper with his gossip for manufacturers. And words and pictures from the latest of the magazine’s Security TWENTY series of conference-exhibitions, in Dublin last month. And the latest from the Security Indsutry Authority; and regulars such as four pages of new products and services, and a book review page.
