Award ceremony

The 2021 David Clark Award will be announced at presentation made at CONSEC 2021, the annual conference of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC) on Thursday, October 21 at Twickenham Stadium in west London. Visit www.securityconsultants.org.

Jayne King, Chair of the UK Security Commonwealth says: “At the last Sy Com Committee meeting we announced that the Security Commonwealth would be offering a new annual award for Exceptional Contributions to the UK Security Industry. The award will be known as the David Clark Award In recognition of his standing and contribution across the UK security profession before his untimely death in 2019. The award will build upon David’s efforts, both as an outstanding chair of SyCom and more widely, to encourage continuous improvement within the UK security sector.

“This is a really important initiative for the Commonwealth and a fitting way to remember David Clark. We need to get the new award off to a strong start and to do this we need a range of worthy entries. To this end, please would you consider entries from your own organisations or those who you would wish to support. Please also spread the word within your organisations and beyond.”

And Joe Connell, Chair of Association of Security Consultants and a past chair of the Commonwealth says: “The ASC is delighted to host the Security Commonwealth’s David Clark Award at its annual exhibition and conference CONSEC. David Clark was a friend to many and an inspiration to even more. It’s a real pleasure to see his powerful legacy of making an exceptional contribution live on through this annual award.”
