The purpose of the job is to provide professional engineering expertise and excellent internal and external customer service during the maintenance of variety of CCTV, intruder, access control systems, and other security solutions. Including some installation and commissioning. The main challenges of the job are deadline pressures, demand for thoroughness, customer service skills, route cause analysis on faults to meet the business requirements.

Role
You will be site based at a prestigious central London building and as the Security Engineer you will be responsible for the service of a range of CCTV, access control and intruder systems. Servicing of large scale, higher-end, integrated security systems.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise in fault finding and repairs of varied selection of PC/network based and analogue security systems with a working knowledge of different high end software packages.
• Provide technical expertise in fault finding and repair with a variety of CCTV operating systems from small scale CCTV systems to large multi-site installations with PC based digital recorders.
• To understand fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks and radio telemetry systems to effectively remedy any faults. Liaise with higher grade engineers where required.
• To provide day to day service, maintenance and repair of the large-scale IP CCTV systems, access control systems and some intruder systems.
• To complete a planned preventative maintenance regime.
• Assist with the call out rota and travel as necessary.

Skills, Qualifications and Competencies
• NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent proven experience (4+ years) knowledge of access control / CCTV / intercom / intruder systems.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of digital electronics principles and system.
• Health and safety.
• Good knowledge of access control / CCTV / intercom / intruder systems.
• Good knowledge surrounding digital electronics and electrical systems.
• Microsoft OS knowledge.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and other network fundamentals of UFEs (Unified Front End).
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• Commend intercom.
• Castle/Risco alarm systems.
• BPT intercom.
• Paxton access control.
• PAC access control.
• Synopsys system management.

Package £32,000 - £36,000.00 + overtime + train travel.
