Workforce Management

Software upgrade

by Mark Rowe

Users of Gallinet’s PeopleHours on-line schedule and workplace management system now have a companion Android app to add to their suite of tools.

Client company employees have for some time been able to log onto a PeopleHours service called TelMe and view their past, current and future schedules besides holiday and annual leave status. This is now available in app form. The app initially mirrors all of the existing web functions. More updates are not far away, the software developers say, which will allow staff so authorised to book on and off duty, make their hourly welfare calls, view assignment instructions, submit incidents reports and receive alerts when extra or overtime duties are available, and more.

Gallinet plan this year to further develop the app format of PeopleHours into what they call a fully functional patrol management system using the built in RFID readers in modern smartphones. The app is available to staff as a free download on the Google Play store: search “Gallinet”, or links are on Gallinet’s website.
