Abloy UK has supplied its standalone access control system Optima, to its wholesaler Secure Access Technologies, to upgrade the security system used in their offices.
Secure Access Technologies were looking for wireless access control, with a retrofit to install into their offices as the system they had was hard-wired. As they have signed a new lease on their building, they were seeking to install an access control system that could be installed and removed if the business was to move. Also, they share the offices with another company so they needed a solution that would provide security and convenience for themselves and that other company.
Secure Access Technologies chose Abloy Optima; an electronic handle set or escutcheon that provides a stand-alone single door control, operating as electronic master keying. Abloy Optima incorporates intuitive software and email alerts and can even be controlled with a smartphone.
No wiring is required; and it can be retro-fitted to mechanical lock cases. Secure Access Technologies installed Optima on five doors, including three common doors (shared access) and two doors in their own area.
