Modular construction

by Mark Rowe

Remtech was established in 1980 and then renamed Remtech (Computer Security) Ltd in 1991. The core business is physical protection from fire, water, smoke, theft, sabotage and blast, for data centres, server rooms, manufacturing and storage facilities plus other critical infrastructure such as pumping stations.

This is achieved with a secure modular construction system called ModuSec, exhibited at Security & Counter Terror Expo 2016 at London Olympia. The product is manufactured at a factory in Birmingham by Remtech’s manufacturing company RCS (Manufacturing) Ltd – using British steel.

Remtech offers advice on fire and security standards and provides a total in-house building service – including design, manufacture, delivery and installation of walls, ceilings, doors and supporting steelwork where required. The system can be built inside an existing building or outside with a roof to any size – or can built in the factory and delivered as completed building to be off-loaded via a crane, pictured.
