Physical Security

MLA Expo hailed

by Mark Rowe

Securikey, a UK supplier of physical security products, reports its busiest exhibition to date at the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) Expo 2015, at The International Centre, Telford from October 2 to 4.

Exhibition participants saw Securikey’s previously advertised ‘mystery product’, which was revealed to be a bespoke hand-crafted Coulson luxury safe featuring Zircote Vaneer finishing, soft Alcantara-lined drawers and a bolt handle designed around a clock face and hands. Visitors also could enter a competition to guess the number of man hours it took to convert that safe. Ian Underwood of A&D Lock & Key Co. in Birmingham correctly guessed 113 hours and walked away with an Apple Watch.

Securikey ran a promotion only available at the show, allowing visitors buying one or more Mini Vaults to upgrade each safe from a key lock to an electronic lock free.

Michael Joel, Account Manager for Securikey, said: “We had a very successful, exceptionally busy few days at the MLA Expo 2015, with visitors inquiring after and ordering a broad range of products from our comprehensive range. As usual the Mini Vault safes were incredibly popular, however many other products received a lot of attention as well, particularly the latest Keylex digital door lock models, post boxes, T-REIGN retractors and cases, our enhanced key cabinets and the Secure Stor security cabinet range, which was on display for the very first time.

“The MLA Expo provides us with a fantastic opportunity to meet with a large number of industry professionals in a short space of time. This allows us to answer their questions face to face, share our expertise and listen to their comments, helping us to learn what we are doing well and providing valuable feedback which we can then use in the development of future Securikey products.”
