Locking device

News from TSI Security of their ProSync locking device for a safe or ATM, an IFSEC 2012 awards finalist.

The need for good cash controls and timely management information are essential for successful loss prevention departments. ProSync is a safe management system created by TSI that puts you firmly in control, by allowing you to centrally monitor and control your safe or ATM vault activity. ProSync provides information on a real time basis, giving real time warnings on activity as well as having an extensive reporting facility. ProSync has been shortlisted for the IFSEC Security Industry Awards 2012 in the Physical Security Product of the Year category.

PROSYNC: A NEW WAY OF THINKING

It was important in the design stage that ProSync should be flexible as different clients face contrasting challenges. Therefore it was designed to allow the freedom to decide what information was needed and how it should be reported to. By providing differing alert levels and the ability to divide users into regions and groups, ProSync could be set up to each individual client’s requirements.

TSI approached Gendis sister company of Paxton Access to design the ProSync software. They have a considerable reputation in the security industry for quality of both product and service and it was felt that they would be the ideal partners for the project.

The result is that the ProSync locking system offers a wide range of features designed to overcome problems encountered in loss prevention and can be retro-fitted to your existing safes or ATMs. Features include:

PROACTIVE REAL TIME MONITORING

Safe activity is sent through on a real time basis. These events such as a staff member leaving the safe door open or unlocked or the safe being attacked in a burglary are monitored on a 24/7 basis enabling any unauthorised activity to be dealt with as they occur.

CENTRALISED CONTROL

This gives the ability to remotely administer users and sites. Relief or maintenance workers can be provided temporary access with automatic expiry dates.

CUSTOMER DEFINED ALERTS

There are four warning levels and the client can assign one of these levels to a wide range of events including doors left open, duress, tamper, unauthorised opening attempts etc.

NETWORKED OR GSM / GPRS OPTION

Information on the alerts can be sent either via the IT network or via the GSM/GPRS mobile network. The latter removes the need for IT department involvement. Instant alerts directly to you as the event happens by phone, email or text.

REPORTING

Reports can be customised to suit the individual needs of the client either on daily, weekly or monthly basis or an instant report on the safe door activity as you need it.

TRACKING OPTION

The safe can also be fitted with an optional tracking device. This will be activated by any tilt or movement in the safe. The safe will be able to be tracked and route monitored in real time
