Lever and pull handles

by Mark Rowe

The security manufacturer, Allegion, has introduced the Briton 4700 Series to its range of door furniture and accessories. That’s including handles that have achieved EN 1906 Grade 4 and are suitable the company says for high-frequency areas.

The 4700 Series features a selection of Grade 4 lever and pull handles, plus complementary accessories in satin stainless steel. The lever furniture helps installers and contractors through its fixing method that provides according to the makers a firm, positive and highly durable installation. The hardware meets the requirements of BS 8300 and has been tested to 90 minutes on timber doors and four hours on steel doors. The products come with a 10-year guarantee.

Simon Osborne, Allegion sales leader for the UK and Ireland, said: “Door furniture and accessories are the first point of contact when entering or moving around a building, making it important to achieve the perfect balance of aesthetics, performance and certification. The new Briton 4700 series has been developed to achieve this, with handles that meet the highest grade in the standard to guarantee performance even after high levels of use.”

The 4700 Series includes lever and pull handles, plus accessories such as kick plates, push and pull plates, symbols and signage, flush bolts, door stops and hooks. Visit www.allegion.co.uk.
