Keyless locks

by Mark Rowe

Abloy UK has launched a new range of keyless locks. The range covers all types of metal and wooden applications such as desks (as in a hot-desking workplace), bedside cabinets in hospitals, and lockers for work or leisure use.

The series features electronic locks for lockers; furniture locks for desks, cabinets and lockers; electronic locks with PIN code; as well as digital furniture lock; and RFID Mifare locker locks.

All products offer users keyless, peace of mind without the security issues associated with lost keys and the costs of replacing locks and keys. Sectors that use the products include healthcare, education, business and leisure.

Shaun Powell, OEM General Manager for Abloy UK, said: “The new Abloy Keyless Range offers effective security solutions for a number of applications, and products have already been successfully trialled in a variety of different environments. From PIN code keypad operated furniture locks to contactless RFID enabled locks, we have the right locking solution for your business and demanding customer applications.

“So those looking for a way to enhance a security provision – especially where there are a number of lockers or cabinets that need to be kept secure and lost keys are a problem – should consider adding one of these devices to their solution.”

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Abloy in the UK. The company has unveiled the Abloy Academy, and recently launched the Abloy Showroom at The Building Centre in London.
