Ingersoll Rand has appointed Lorraine Magnay as Key Account Manager for the North East. Newcastle-based Lorraine returns to the company where she started her career, and where she built up more than 20 years’ experience in the safety and security industry.

Having spent the last two years in a senior customer support role for a supplier of time and attendance systems, Lorraine has become a Key Account Manager at Ingersoll Rand, where she will cover a geographical area from Northumberland in the north to Peterborough in the south.

The IR product portfolio features door closers, exit hardware and locks. Lorraine’s remit is to build relationships with builders’ merchants, architectural ironmongers, distributors, and catalogue companies, and to develop and manage new trade contacts.

According to Paul Cundy, Unitary Sales Leader, at Ingersoll Rand, Lorraine’s return to the company is key to its ongoing plans to service the north east market. Paul explained: “Lorraine’s appointment boosts Ingersoll Rand’s ‘Unitary’ sales team in the north east, putting the company in pole position to capitalise on all opportunities in this area.

“Lorraine is a fantastic ambassador for Ingersoll Rand. Not only is she very passionate about the company’s products and services, she is a highly experienced professional who brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge to her role. As such, Lorraine will play a pivotal role in supporting Ingersoll Rand’s north east client base and securing new contracts.”

Lorraine added: “Having joined Ingersoll Rand as a trainee more than 20 years ago and having built my career with the company, being back on board really does feel like coming home. This is the first dedicated sales role I’ve held, and I am relishing the new challenges this brings. I have spent decades establishing contacts within the industry and as a Key Account Manager for Ingersoll Rand I am now able to fully focus on building on those relationships and on growing my client base.”
