Jacksons Fencing at IFSEC 2018

by Mark Rowe

The UK fencing manufacturer Jacksons Fencing is showing its range of Security Rated products at IFSEC International 2018. The show runs at ExCeL London from Tuesday to Thursday, June 19 to 21. In addition to displaying a complete SR1 to SR5 fencing range on their stand (H135), Jacksons Security Rated fencing will be involved in three live demonstrations on each day of the event at the LPCB/BRE Attack Testing Zone.

To have items Security Rated (SR) by the LPCB, companies must have obtained the international quality management standard ISO 9001. To achieve a certified LPS 1175 Security Rating, products must pass a physical test, with the varying standards stipulating the toolset used and a minimum attack time.

Jacksons Fencing has selected a variety of timber and steel fencing, from SR1 to SR4, to be featured in the demonstrations; from its EuroGuard Combi SR1 and Barbican® SR1 fences to its Jakoustic Class 3 acoustic barrier and Trident 4 vertical railing and mesh combination. Guests can watch the panels be tested by toolsets in the ‘LPCB/BRE Attack Testing Zone’ on stand H140. The Jacksons products being used are all SR certified, having already met the required standards. These will be featured against a range of competitors’ untested products in the Attack Testing Zone to illustrate the benefits of certified perimeter products, the firm adds.

LPCB is running three demonstrations daily, each involving fencing from Jacksons:

Tuesday, June 19

· Demo 1.1: 11:00 – 11:40
· Demo 1.2: 13:00 – 13:40
· Demo 1.3: 15:30 – 16:10

Wednesday, June 20

· Demo 2.1: 11:00 – 11:40
· Demo 2.2: 13:00 – 13:40
· Demo 2.3: 15:30 – 16:10

Thursday, June 21

· Demo 3.1: 10:45 – 11:25
· Demo 3.2: 12:45 – 13:25
· Demo 3:3: 14:45 – 15:10

Security Consultant at Jacksons, Cris Francis, says: “When selecting fencing to secure your property, reliable certification is crucial. Opting for lower quality for any reason isn’t worth the risk. LPCB ratings are the only way you can be absolutely sure you’re investing in a product that is fit-for-purpose, and we are proud to offer a full range of Security Rated solutions. We’re excited to be a part of IFSEC again this year and are looking forward to the live testing of our products.”
