GSM dialler

by Mark Rowe

GJD, the British manufacturer, has announced its GSM dialler. The GSM is designed to connect with alarm systems and automatically dial telephone numbers to announce a verbal or SMS alert when the system has been activated.

Once triggered, the GSM dialler has nine programmable dial-out numbers for voice and SMS messages. This enables notification to all contacted users. The GSM connects with an app for mobiles and tablets. The app enables installers to change the settings from anywhere, at any time, including remote set up of new GSMs, the ability to switch the GSM on/off or return it to the factory default settings.

Carl Fletcher, Sales Manager at GJD said: “The GJD GSM dialler is a well-priced product with installer friendly features. The free app which is available on both IPhone and Android makes it quick and easy for installers to make changes remotely at any time, from anywhere.”

The product allows for six inputs and four outputs to enable connection to other intruder systems including gas detection, flood defence and heat sensors. The dialler is connected to all main networks on pay as you go (except Three), so there is no requirement for a special telephone line or line rental. The product will only dial out when an alarm is triggered. A test SMS feature keeps the pay as you go SIM card active. The intrusion communication device can also be used with a contract SIM.

The product also features include a back-lit LCD, which shows text in eight languages, a built in microphone and battery back-up.
