French market

by Mark Rowe

Jacksons, the UK based perimeter security and access control business, continues its foray into France with a new dedicated French web site (http://www.jacksons-clotures.com) and a new look French brochure.

Jacksons, which earlier this year announced its commitment to increase export sales generated by the company by 15pc, is now entering into its eighth year of promoting its timber and steel (predominantly timber) products in France. With the Jacksons website representing such a significant marketing tool in the UK, the company has invested in the specific French language website in time to capitalise on the traditionally busy Spring buying period.

Richard Jackson, CEO says “Our products have been well received in France and last year our turnover in relation to French export sales showed a 13% increase, but of course we have a significant challenge in terms of raising brand awareness in a market where there are a number of dominant players. By extending the range of marketing collateral available to our French customers and embarking upon a series of tactical marketing initiatives, we are hopeful that we will be successful in heightening the profile of the Jacksons brand and all that it stands for. Regardless of where our products are purchased, the over-arching commitment to quality and exceptional customer service remains the same. In the UK, we have the benefit of a 65-year heritage whereas in France, we remain a relative newcomer – but already we have built up a body of loyal customers who appreciate the high standard of quality, fit for purpose construction, aesthetic appeal and lasting service life that have always been associated with the Jacksons portfolio.”
