Door for high-end residential market

by Mark Rowe

ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the physical security and door product company, has manufactured a new high-security doorset for upmarket residential use.

The firm reports demand by architects, specifiers and contractors for high-end residential doors that combine protection with a premium finish. The security door manufacturer has developed a bespoke doorset that combines according to the firm aesthetics with secure protection.

Adapted from the organisation’s high security Safeguard timber range, the new doorset is available with Pickersgill-Kaye multi-point locking, discreetly morticed into the door. The doors can come with features including raised and fielded panelling, specialist wood veneers and other bespoke finishes, providing a door that offers the firm says security while blending in with the interior features of a high-end residential building.

All ironmongery is fitted at ASSA ABLOY Security Door’s factory, meaning the doorset can also be delivered ready to be installed.

Nigel Cronin, Regional Sales Manager at ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, said: “This tailored solution is a response from architects, specifiers and contractors, requiring doorsets for clients that must deliver strong protection with a premium, high-end look. Applications for the doors include front entrances, safe refuges and strong rooms. With the capability to build custom-made doorsets, based on individual, site-specific requirements, this new offering satisfies a need for safety and security but not at the expense of aesthetics.”
