Door access at Jewson Live

by Mark Rowe

Two door control products from the manufacturer Allegion, the SimonsVoss MobileKey and Briton 571 EL, will be on show at Jewson Live, UK’s trade show for the construction industry, on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the NEC in Birmingham.

The SimonsVoss MobileKey, pictured, developed as an access control solution for medium to large buildings, can control up to 20 doors and assign access to 100 users at a time. The Briton 571 EL, launched in October, is an panic exit product that gives electronic access control while also pairing it with panic exit. Access control systems such as the SimonsVoss MobileKey can be linked to the Briton 571 EL.

Simon Osborne, Commercial Leader of Allegion in UK and Ireland, said: “With security threats, data control and protection in the news almost daily, access control and physical security has become a very current topic. It is one that is driving our industry and development. We care about our customers’ ability to control these situations, which is why we are heavily investing in developing these cutting edge electronic door products.”

Jewson will be offering exclusive product deals for attendees throughout the day. The event will also feature speakers – from footballers to famous architects. Names signed up include architectural designer and television presenter Charlie Luxton, former England footballer Dion Dublin, and Rugby World Cup winner, Neil Back MBE.

David Fenton, Marketing Director for Jewson, said: “Whether you’re a bricklayer, plasterer or carpenter, Jewson Live offers something for everyone. As well as advice and special offers, the show is an opportunity to get together with like-minded people and discuss what’s going on in our industry. It’s a great place for tradespeople to get the tools and knowledge they will need for 2017 and beyond. It’s not all work though: we’ve got a few surprises planned for the day too!”
