Christmas jumper day

by Mark Rowe

The detector manufacturers GJD are again supporting Key 103’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal, which aims to make Christmas special for local children. On Wednesday, December 13, GJD will be hosting its official Christmas jumper day, which is a time for staff and visitors to wear their festive jumpers and make a cash donation to support Key 103’s Mission Christmas.

In 2016 the appeal generated upwards of £15.5m in gifts and donations which were distributed to more than 360,000 disadvantaged children across the UK.

With so many local children living in poverty this December, for many families Christmas is simply a luxury they can’t afford. This year’s Mission Christmas aims to beat last year’s fundraising total and help make sure it can help as many children as possible.

The GJD office will be joining others in offices, schools and homes around the country as they sport a festive sweater for the day and donate £1 or more.

Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s Managing Director said: “This is the second year in a row that GJD is taking part in Key 103’s Christmas appeal. Everyone is looking forward to having a festive day, whilst backing a fantastic cause to make a child’s Christmas special and give something back to the local community.”
