Audio, video door entry

by Mark Rowe

The door entry product company Legrand has launched its compact Bticino Classe 100 range.

The company points to the contemporary design and discreet size of the new internal units, at a price that would usually only buy a handset-based system, it is claimed. The hands-free products come in a white finish and with push button icons and are available as audio only or with audio and video. The video unit has a colour 3.5 inch screen. Units can be wall mounted, using the mounting bracket supplied, or positioned on a table or any other flat surface using a purpose-designed support.

Richard Hayward, lead marketing manager for Legrand’s wiring devices business, says: “The launch of the new Bticino Classe 100 range provides the ideal opportunity to upsell to a product with better functionality for a similar price to a much lower specification system. As a result, the units provide an ideal opportunity to take the next step in the evolution in door entry – from audio to video, black and white to colour, and now handset to hands free.”

The Bticino Classe 100 internal units are sold separately or in kit form alongside the Sfera modular audio and video entrance panel range. Richard adds: “All Legrand’s Bticino products work on two wire technology that is easy to install and the Classe 100 range is no exception. The new units are ideal for adding a touch of hands-free class to any residential scheme.”
